Meet the Holly Lodge team.
Meet our founder, Duncan Woodcock.
Duncan has a wealth of knowledge and experience, offering all of the services you’d expect from an accountancy and tax specialist. You're in safe hands. Despite not having envisaged a career in accountancy, after University Duncan happened to land a job at a large, independent accountancy practice looking after the accounts and tax affairs of a wide range of clients.
This set him on the path to studying to become a Chartered Accountant in his spare time. After qualifying in 2010, a later job role with a greater bias towards tax led Duncan to dual-qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser, which he achieved in 2013.
After gaining valuable experience and knowledge working with accountancy practices across the South West, in 2016 Duncan decided to make the move to set up Holly Lodge. Having seen all too often how many of his clients approached accounts and tax with a sense of fear; as something overwhelming; it has been important from the outset that Holly Lodge clients don’t feel that way and find us friendly, approachable and down to earth.
Holly Lodge has grown steadily since its inception and is run day to day by Duncan with the help of his wife, Jo, from their home just outside of Bristol.
The other half of the team, Jo Woodcock.
Coming from a legal background and with many years of experience in business administration, Jo works behind the scenes as Holly Lodge's Practice Manager.
Jo handles Holly Lodge’s legal and compliance requirements, credit control and its social media/online presence.
